The practice offers a contraception service. This includes oral contraceptives, injectable contraception (depo provera), IUCD ("the coil") and emergency contraception (either the 'morning after pill' or in certain cases an IUCD). Also remember that some pharmacies supply emergency contraception. In any event if you are unsure about what service you require contact the surgery for further advice.
Our practices also offer Contraceptive Implants for registered patients and can also accept referrals from doctors working in other practices who do not offer this service for their own patients.
If you are a registered patient, please contact the surgery using our Ring Back service and discuss your wishes with one of our senior clinicians.
If you are not a registered patient, but feel that a contraceptive implant is your preferred form of contraception for you, please speak to your GP who will be able to assess your needs and arrange this either at their own practice or with a local provider if you are suitable. Alternatively you can contact your local family planning service.
